Rajasthan Royals coach discloses Ben Stokes’ “unbelievable” work ethic
Rajasthan Royals coach discloses Ben Stokes: Legendary Mumbai batsman opened up on the English all-rounder’s work ethic.
There is no hiding to the fact that England all-rounder Ben Stokes is having the time of his life. While it started with him making England win their inaugural ICC Cricket World Cup last month, it has also seen him play a heroic knock to seal a 359-run target during the Headingley Test.
With two more Tests remaining in the ongoing 2019 Ashes series against Australia, Stokes has a golden opportunity of winning the historic series for his team. If he does the same, Stokes will achieve a rare achievement of playing a central role in winning a World Cup and and Ashes series.

Rajasthan Royals coach discloses Ben Stokes’ “unbelievable” work ethic
Meanwhile, Stokes’ awe-inspiring performance has seen him gaining applauds in India as well. Stokes, who plays for Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League, has received plentiful approbation from Royals batting coach Amol Muzumdar.
In a recent interview with The Times of India, Muzumdar disclosed spending time with Stokes in IPL 2019. Wax lyrical about the 30-year old cricketer, Muzumdar went on to explain how well Stokes trained during his time in the IPL.
“We spent a lot of time together this IPL season. I’ve seen many cricketers, but I’ve never seen anyone working as hard at his game than [Ben] Stokes. His work ethics are unbelievable. When a player has that kind of a work ethic, the job of a coach becomes much easier
“He would bat for a couple of hours in the nets. There would be times when he would tell me to keep throwing the ball at him, which I didn’t mind! In every training session, he would request me to ‘push’ him a bit harder. After that, he would bowl for around 45 minutes, and that too at full tilt.
“There’s nothing called a ‘half-hearted’ effort with Stokes. either he’s there, or you will not find him. In the end, he would practice his fielding skills, and that too for an hour! In fielding sessions too, if you gave him an easy catch, he wouldn’t appreciate it,” Muzumdar was quoted as saying.
