Paul Pogba ended up staying at Manchester United after sportswear company- Adidas intervenes in his transfer to Real Madrid this summer.

Paul Pogba had a long transfer saga this summer, as he was speculated to make a sensational move to Real Madrid but in the end he ended up staying at Manchester United, after the former failed to match the alleged astronomical demands by the Red Devils.

Although, according to an update by the Daily Mail, Sportswear giants Adidas stopped Pogba’s move to Real Madrid after intervening in the deat to make Pogba stay at the English club.

It is speculated that Adidas thought that this move will harm them commercially and it would be better if the French International had stayed in England.

Thus, the report further states that Adidas allegedly worked as a peacemaker between Pogba, his agent Mino Raiola and Manchester United, as the club also wanted him to stay due to already depleting squad.

Pogba is in the third year of a decade-long personal endorsement deal with adidas, while the German company are also United’s kit manufacturers.

Although adidas also sponsor Real Madrid, the likes of Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema are also sponsored by the brand at the Spanish club but Pogba is their poster boy at Manchester United.

Although, on the other hand, Pogba will start his final year in his contract at Manchester United, and at that time the Red Devils will be forced to transfer the player to Los Blancos, if they come again once again for the French international.

Meanwhile, Pogba has remained very professional with Manchester United throughout the transfer window and even after it, the 26-year-old midfielder did not force his way out and stayed committed with the club.
