Eintracht Frankfurt captain David Abraham flattens Freiburg manager Christian Streich with a WWE styled clothesline in a Bundesliga match.

Bundesliga got surrounded with controversy as Freiburg Vs Eintracht Frankfurt ended in a 5-minute long brawl after latter’s captain David Abraham flattens Freiburg’s manager with a WWE style clothesline.

The brawl broke out deep into injury time as Frankfurt trailed Freiburg 1-0 and captain Abraham launched the ball into the box in a desperate attempt for his side to snatch a late equaliser.

Abraham was heading towards Frieburg’s bench after Freiburg player managed to hoof the ball clear and Frankfurt defender Abraham went charging down to the touchline to retrieve it.

But the 33-year-old 6ft 2in centre-back refused to move around Streich and instead landed a massive right arm into the Freiburg boss. Meanwhile, the 54-old manager ended up falling to the ground instantly.

Players and staff from both sets of teams collided in the brawl as officials tried their best to control the situation. After tensions between both camps were defused — lasting almost five minutes — the referee showed Abraham a straight red card as he continued to protest his innocence.

Despite the incident, Freiburg managed to win the game by 1-0 after the end of the 90-minute game, which makes them climb at the 4th position just below Bayern Munich, who also has the same number of points but are superior on goal difference.

Along with this, the league is yet to decide a disciplinary action against Abraham, as further updates about it are yet to confirm.
