Tabraiz Shamsi blows flying kiss to wife: The Rocks’ spinner continues to entertain fans with his innovative wicket-taking celebrations.

During the 15th match of the ongoing second season of the Mzansi Super League between Cape Town Blitz and Paarl Rocks in Cape Town, Paarl Rocks spinner Tabraiz Shamsi put on display yet another innovative wicket-taking celebration to entertain the crowd.

It all happened on the fourth delivery of the 11th over when Cape Town Blitz batsman Asif Ali’s attempt to take on Shami saw him walking back to the pavilion.

With Ali hitting a full delivery towards the long-on region, he was caught by Paarl Rocks captain Faf du Plessis at the boundary. Usually known for his out-of-the-box celebrations, Shamsi followed his “shoe celebration” by blowing a kiss to his wife who was sitting in the stands.

While Shamsi’s wife looked surprised at first, even she responded in the same manner to her husband. Coming in to bat at No. 5 in the sixth over, Ali ended up scoring 13 (15) with the help of one four.

Chasing a 164-run target, the hosts were restricted to 161/9 in 20 overs as Paarl pacer Isuru Udana defended 11 runs in the last over. Cape Town all-rounder Mohammad Nawaz scoring 41 (23) with the help of two fours and three sixes wasn’t enough for them. For Paarl, Bjorn Fortuin, Shamsi and and Udana dismissed two batsmen each.

After Blitz captain Quinton de Kock won the toss and put the visitors in to bat, Rocks scored 163/8 in 20 overs. Opening batsman Henry Davids top-scored for his team with 46 (33) with the help of five fours and a six.
