Dan Gosling goal vs Chelsea: Bournemouth midfielder Gosling lifts the ball over Kepa’s head to score a late winner
Dan Gosling goal vs Chelsea: Gosling lifts the ball over Kepa’s head to give Bournemouth a late lead during their Premier League encounter.
Chelsea were one of the teams to watch out for. The young side had captured the imagination of many. However, their form off late has been abysmal. The Blues have recorded 4 losses in 5 Premier League matches since their return from the international break.

Frank Lampard’s side lacked imagination and creativity in their match against a side that had lost their last 5 matches. Both teams looked set to share a point each before Bournemouth midfielder Dan Gosling scored a late stunner with his back to the goal.

Chelsea cleared the ball from a Bournemouth corner. The ball however, found Jefferson Lerma who headed the ball back into the box. Chelsea’s attempts at pressing left Gosling unchecked inside the box who dinked the ball over Kepa’s head to fashion a brilliant but odd goal.
The goal was sent to VAR who adjudged that the midfielder was onside.

That was all Bournemouth needed to end their slide, while Chelsea slipped further.
Early on in the match, Chelsea themselves had an opportunity to score. 2nd half substitute, Callum Hudson-Odoi helped the Blues cause some trouble for the Cherries. A series of headers later, it came to Emerson at far post to find the net. However, he ended up hitting the ball straight to Ramsdale who made an impressive save.
Chelsea are still in the top 4 but unless they get back to winning ways, they could drop below to the likes of Manchester United, Wolverhampton and Sheffield United who are hot on Frank Lampard’s heels.
