Teams allowed to swap capped players during IPL 2020: The next season will witness an interesting change in the rules of the tournament.
Indian Premier League franchises were allowed to loan uncapped players during the last season of the Indian Premier League. The intriguing new rule meant that teams could swap players mid-season much like leagues in other sports.
It is worth mentioning that no IPL franchise decided to avail benefit via the new rule as teams showed the tendency to stick with their original squads.

As far as the finances are concerned, the concerned player will not benefit at all from the transfer. The deal will be conducted between the two concerned franchises with the money involved being from outside the auction purse.
The same was briefed to all the franchises on the eve of the auction which is slated to begin in less than 30 minutes from now. Despite the auction being a mini-auction, it is likely to witness some fascinating bidding wars between teams.
Franchises such as Royal Challengers Bangalore, Rajasthan Royals and Kings XI Punjab are expected to go all out for they released a lot of their key players from their squad last month.
