Daniel Worrall grab spectacular catch: The Stars’ seamer put on display an inspiring fielding effort at point to dismiss the home captain.
During the 38th match of the ongoing ninth season of the Big Bash League between Perth Scorchers and Melbourne Stars in Perth, Melbourne Stars seamer Daniel Worrall grabbed a spectacular catch to dismiss Perth Scorchers captain Mitchell Marsh.
It all happened on the third delivery of the eighth over when Marsh hit a Jackson Coleman delivery towards Worrall at point. In what seemed to be going over the fielder in the first go, it was eventually caught by Worrall who timed his dive to perfection right on the 30-yard circle. Putting forward his hilarious side, Worrall did try to overdo his attempt but only after ensuring that he completed the dismissal.
Coming in to bat at No. 4 in the fourth over, Marsh ended up scoring 7 (8) and was part of the batting collapse forced by the visiting bowlers at the Perth Stadium.
Marsh’s decision to win the toss and chose to bat didn’t go down well Stars bowled bundled out Scorched for 86 in 13.5 overs. Having scored 37 (19) with the help of four fours and two sixes, Perth opening batsman Josh Inglis was their best batsman.
With bowling figures of 3-0-16-3, Coleman was the pick of the Melbourne bowlers. While Stars spinner Sandeep Lamichhane dismissed two batsmen, captain Glenn Maxwell and fast bowlers in Nathan Coulter-Nile and Haris Rauf dismissed a batsman apiece.
