India vs Bangladesh U19 World Cup final: Dhruv Jurel displays lighting fast reflexes off Ravi Bishnoi’s balling to stump Shahadat Hossain as India fight back.

The India vs Bangladesh U19 World Cup final is proving to be a very close affair with both sides still in a good position to win the prestigious tournament. Bangladesh started their chase of 178 strong with a 50-run stand for the opening partnership.

However, Indian leg spinner Ravi Bishnoi then tightened the screws around the opposition batsmen as he picked up wicket after wicket. The wicket of Shahadat Hossain however, the last of his 4^th wicket so far, wouldn’t have been possible without Dhruv Jurel’s quick thinking behind the stumps.

In the 17^th over, Bishnoi bowled a flighted one outside off which ricocheted off Hossain’s stumps. Jurel quickly collected the ball and upon noticing that the batsman was out of his crease, he quickly struck the stumps.

The third umpire confirmed the decision and Hossain had to leave after playing 10 balls while scoring a solitary run.

At the moment of writing, Bangladesh are currently 50 runs away from a maiden U19 World Cup victory. However, they have already lost 6 wickets and the game could very well go down to the wire.

Earlier in the day, India were dismissed for 177 runs. Yashasvi Jaiswal continued his brilliant form and scored 88 to carry his side. However, his dismissal at 156 caused a collapse. The boys in blue could only add a further 21 runs to their total.
