Sachin Tendulkar has some HIGH PRAISE for Rishabh Pant’s IPL innings

Every player has that one moment when he breaks through the glass ceiling and becomes a star. Last night against the Gujarat Lions, 19 year old Rishabh Pant had one of those moments when he played one of the most exhilarating innings that the IPL has ever seen. Even the legendary Sachin Tendulkar has some HIGH PRAISE for Rishabh Pant’s IPL innings.

Chasing a score of over 200, Pant and fellow youngster Sanju Samson put together an amazing partnership which was the foundation of Delhi’s successful run chase.

Sachin was just like all of us when he the Pant Storm strike the Freoz Shah Kotla last night. Pant’s 97 of 43 balls was a combination of fearless batting coupled with clean hitting which will have people talking for years.

The youngster from Delhi was tipped to have a big IPL even before the season began. He has already produced some brilliant knocks which has enhanced his ever growing reputation. There have also been talks of him being the one to replace MS Dhoni in the national side.

But Pant has not allowed such thoughts to enter his mind and distract him from what is important. His fearless batting has already drawn comparisons with a former player from this part of the world. While Pant still has a long way to go before he can be compared with Virender Sehwag, his current batting performances will make even the great Vriu proud.

Sachin saying that this is one of the best IPL innings that he has ever seen is some high praise indeed. The IPL has witnessed some amazing innings over the last decade, but there was something extra special in Pant’s innings last night.

It might be a defining moment for Rishabh Pant in what promises to be a wonderful career ahead.
