BCCI awaits Government confirmation regarding bilateral series with Pakistan
BCCI officials have come out and said that the decision of playing Pakistan solely rests with the government. The cricketing bodies of both these nations are all up for multiple bilateral series, but the governments of both the countries haven’t really taken a final call yet.
The Sports Minister of India, Vijay Goel, in a statement about the involvment of Pakistan players in the Pro Kabaddi league said that India wouldn’t allow Pakistan players to feature as long as there is state sponsored terrorism in Pakistan.

Despite these strong claims from Vijay Goel, BCCI remain upbeat about fostering some kind of relationship with the PCB, and hoping to restart bilateral series’s amongst these two cricket frenzy nations.
“There is nothing new in the situation. We had written to the government seeking their permission to play Pakistan three months ago. We issued them a reminder 15 days ago. We are yet to get a reply. Only the government can decide whether we can play Pakistan or not,” Choudhary told PTI.
Amitabh Choudhary told PTI that BCCI and PCB officials would be meeting in Dubai later this month to discuss about the possibilities of a bilateral series.
PCB has allegedly sent a notice of intent to BCCI, asking them for compensation, as they did not honour the MoU regarding playing 6 bilateral series in the period of 2015-2023. Under the MoU, Pakistan was supposed to host 4 of the 6 bilateral series.
ICC Chief Executive would also be attending the meeting in a bid to appease the PCB, and to ask them to not file a case against BCCI, citing the fragile relations between the governments of these two nations
