Lakers begin their NBA re-start campaign today with a scrimmage vs the Mavericks. Here we look at the match preview and where you can watch the game.

Day 1 saw eight NBA teams hit the court after almost four months. Yesterday’s games were low scoring games as teams were not going full strength in order to avoid injuries. Also, it seemed as if the shooting was off for a lot of players after 4 months away from the game.

Miami Heats scored a total of 104 points in a close game against the injury hit Sacramento kings, which was the highest among the four games on Day 1.

Day 2 should have something similar in store for us, with coaches of all teams not risking their starters for Scrimmage games. Expect the reserves to get more game time and teams to tread a little lightly on defense.

The Western Conference clash will see the No. 7 seed Mavericks Dallas taking on table-toppers Los Angeles Lakers. While the Lakers are certain to make a deep run at the playoffs, the Mavs will need to set the ground running in the seeding games in order to ensure that they stay in the Bubble a little longer.

Team News for Los Angeles Lakers

Lakers will be confident going into the game with LeBron and Anthony by their side. They have also signed JR Smith to replace Avery Bradley and will look to provide him some playing minutes.

It will be interesting to see how the Lakers reserves fare in the Scrimmage games, as without Bradley and Rondo, the team will really need their fringe players to step up to the task.

The team roaster is complete and only a few players are missing like Markieff Morris.

Team News Dallas Mavericks

The Mavs will have to shake up their lineup a little with key players like Dwight Powell and Willie Cauley-Stein being unavailable for this game.

Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis were dealing with injuries before the NBA season suspension on 11 March and the players claim that they are 100% healthy for the restart.

However, expect their game minutes to be managed a little, as the Mavs face a tricky little period during the seeding games from July 30.

NBA’s poster boy will get onto the court for the first time since the lockdown and one can expect some fireworks from King James in Orlando.
