Is Kyle Lowry playing today vs Celtics? Raptors release ankle injury report for Game 1
Kyle Lowry has been struggling with an ankle injury this past week and the Raptors have now released an injury report for today’s game vs Celtics.
The Toronto Raptors will take on the Boston Celtics in game 1 of Eastern conference semi-finals series tonight. The series has all the potential to be a cracker as both teams are exceptional on both ends of the court.
Unfortunately for the Raptors’ fan-base, Lowry suffered a sprain on his left ankle in game 4 of their drubbing of the Brooklyn Nets. The Raptors swept the Nets in a dominant display although the Nets were a depleted squad.

The all-star guard is an integral part of the Raptors and his absence could prove fatal for the defending champions against the Celtics. The 3 day schedule delay would have helped Lowry’s ankle heal a little better though.
Is Kyle Lowry playing today vs Celtics?
Luckily for the Toronto Raptors, Kyle Lowry is cleared to compete after recovering in time for game 1 today. The injury report released by the Raptors clearly states that he will be able to start today’s game.
With the much awaited Raptors-Celtics series starting today, the defending champions would have started the series on the back-foot without the experience and leadership of Kyle Lowry.
With his current career trajectory, the all-star guard is a shoe-in to finish his career as a Raptors legend and may even finish as their greatest ever player.

Although the Raptors went 12-2 without Lowry in the regular season, his absence exposes the lack of depth in the squad as they lack a proper third point-guard.
Raptors coach Nick Nurse, who recently won the NBA Coach of the Year award, has praised Lowry for his role on the defensive end as his off-the-ball movement disrupts the opposition guards massively.
The all-star’s presence on the offensive end is massive as he facilitates the offense for the likes of VanVleet and Siakam to dominate the paint.
Lowry will be desperate to show the world that the Raptors can go deep into the playoffs without a league-wide superstar in Kawhi, thanks to the excellent team bonding.
