Fred VanVleet free agency: Raptors star to be pursued by Knicks, Pistons and Suns
Toronto Raptors star Fred VanVleet will attract a lot of suitors in the upcoming free agency as the star has been lighting up the league this season.
Fred VanVleet will become an unrestricted free agency in the upcoming summer and will be pursued by several teams including the Suns, Pistons and Knicks.
With the star putting up career high numbers this season after his promotion to the starting lineup, he will have plenty of options this summer. The Raptors guard has been averaging 17.6 points, 3.8 rebounds, 6.6 assists, and 1.9 steals this season.
Fred was a key member of the Raptors championship winning squad last season and several franchises will look to build a squad around him.

While there were trade murmurs around him last season, his performance in the Bubble has attracted a lot of eye balls. It has been great to see him flourish in the absence of Kawhi Leonard, as he has shouldered a lot of the offensive burden for the Raptors.
Knicks, Suns and Pistons interested in Fred VanVleet
Fred VanVleet has emerged as the most potent offensive option for the Raptors in the post-season. With the star approaching his prime years, he will pursued by several teams who are yearning for a championship-calibre star to build their squad around. The Athletic reported the following on his upcoming free-agency:
Fred VanVleet today:

“VanVleet is a shoe free agent and has multiple suitors for a new deal, sources say. And on the court, expect a strong market for the free-agent-to-be: Detroit, New York and Phoenix are expected to emerge as suitors for VanVleet outside Toronto.”
The option of going to the Knicks might be an enticing one as the franchise desperately needs a star to uplift their team back into relevance. The Suns might be the best option amongst the three suitors as the back-court duo of Booker and VanVleet could really take the league by storm next season.
While the Raptors continue to perform brilliantly well despite losing Danny Green and Kawhi Leonard from their championship outfit, a trade away for Vanvleet could seriously damage their team setup for next season.
The Raptors front-office will like to keep hold of him and hopefully build a team around him next season.
