Daniel Ricciardo calls McLaren drivers Children on social media
Daniel Ricciardo calls McLaren drivers children on social media after the two mocks his new helmet design post ahead of Tuscan Grand Prix.
Daniel Ricciardo calls his to be teammate Lando Norris and Mclaren’s outgoing Carlos Sainz as children after the latter two mocked his social media post regarding his new helmet design.
Ricciardo on Instagram shared a post about his new helmet, which he will use at Mugello this weekend. He admitted that the new design is inspired by Valentino Rossi’s helmet designs and even thanked him for the inspiration.
Daniel Ricciardo post crashed by Lando and Carlos
Soon, the two Mclaren drivers, who are known for their notorious activities off the track crashed into Ricciardo’s post, and the Australian driver responded to both.
It started with Lando Norris commenting with a set of poop emoticon on Ricciardo’s post. To which Ricciardo replied ‘Children’. Considering, Norris is the youngest driver on the paddock, it was easy for Ricciardo to mock him like this.
But it went funnier when Sainz did the dame and Ricciardo called him a child. Ricciardo has lately been in constant banter with McLaren drivers, it could be because Ricciardo is set to become one in 2021.

He will replace Sainz, who is set to join hands with Ferrari in 2021, taking the spot of Sebastian Vettel in the team. While Ricciardo will be replaced by Fernando Alonso at Renault next season.
This above domino effect happened within the span of days, except Alonso’s deal, which lingered for long and several other drivers were speculated to join the French team.
