Kate Middleton’s Mom Has A Huge Crush On Roger Federer
With the Wimbledon season just upon us, everyone is recounting their favourite memories from the oldest tennis tournament in the world. All the greats of the game, including the likes of Borg, McEnroe, Sampras, Agassi, Federer, Nadal and now Djokovic and Murray have won at this famous court. And it looks like Britain’s royalty, Kate Middleton is also a big fan of the game, as she talks about Wimbledon in a promotional video for the tournament.
Britain’s celebrity, Kate Middleton has revealed her love for tennis as well as her mom’s secret tennis crush in a sit down interview.
The Duchess of Cambridge spoke at length about her love for tennis. She said that watching Wimbledon was a major part of her childhood as she remembers some of her grass court heroes.

“I have watched Wimbledon, that was very much part of my growing up.
“I was really taken by Agassi and Sampras, Ivanisevic and Steffi Graf. Those are my first memories. Roger [Federer] is my mother’s heartthrob. I don’t think she will mind me saying that! I think he probably knows that too.”
Kate also spoke about her family’s love for the game, even recounting a funny incident including her father.
“My father is not going to appreciate this but we were walking past Tim Henman and had just seen Sampras play.
“My dad said ‘Hi Pete’. I was mortified.”
It inspires young people including myself. Every time Wimbledon is on I am thinking ‘Yes, I could do the same’ and get out the racket. Sadly, not the same results.”
