“Big mistake”- Frank lampard reflects on Kepa Arrizabalaga’s blunder in match against Liverpool
“Big mistake”- Frank Lampard opines on Kepa Arrizabalaga’s blunder in the game against Liverpool, which the Blues lost by 2-0.
The Premier League’s 2nd game-week promised a blockbuster fixture in Chelsea Vs Liverpool, which was hyped up because of the new signings made by Chelsea and the arrival of Thiago Alcantara in Jurgen Klopp’s side.
The game started on an intense note but it was soon under the hands of Liverpool. Amidst all of this Kepa Arrizabalaga made another mistake to face another flack by Chelsea fans, as he made a huge miss pass to gift Sadio mane the second goal of the game.
On this issue, Chelsea manager Frank Lampard also voiced his opinions and admitted that this was a big mistake by the Spanish International, but certainly wasn’t the prominent reason for Chelsea’s defeat.
Speaking to BBC Sport, Lampard said: “[It was a] big mistake. Clear mistake and when you reflect on the half without the mistake and the penalty we draw the game 1-1.
“I’m actually happier in many ways [with the performance] than I was after Brighton on Monday.” The Blues boss added: “It is a clear mistake that cost us, then we have a penalty that we could score. He has to keep working, he has support around him.”

Kepa may be sidelined?
It seems like Kepa going back to the bench forever in Chelsea is inevitable, with Chelsea reportedly reaching to an agreement with Rennes for Edouard Mendy.
The 28-year-old goalkeeper had a terrific season with the French side and may replace Kepa if he settles well in the squad. Whereas. it is not a secret that Kepa has lost his favours from Lampard, which was apparent during the last season too.
