West Indies superstars are going to make a spectacular return
There is some good news for the Windies cricket fans and the fans all over the world, as the negotiations between Windies Cricket Board and Windies Player Association (WIPA) turn out to be successful.
It is being confirmed on Thursday that the star players like Chris Gayle, Dwayne Bravo, Keiron Pollard and Sunil Narine are likely to be available for selection in the ODI format, after the Windies Board agreed to the terms of WIPA.
Matter of the fact is that the Windies board has abandoned its contentious policy regarding player availability for regional cricket, which turned to be the key to resolution.
The policy stated that the players should be available for the regional cricket if they are to earn a place in the national side.

Since the players decided against the rules and made them available for the T20 leagues across the globe they were not eligible to play ODI cricket for their national side.
But the players were allowed to play in the T20I format as they were available to play in the domestic T20 league (Caribbean Premier League).
With this decision taken by the board, the likes of Marlon Samuels, Lendl Simmons, Darren Sammy and, once his WADA ban completes, Andre Russell are all set to make their comeback in to the National side in the ODI format.
If all goes well these players could be featuring in their next tour of England which is going to take place in August.
Asked upon the matter, their star batsman Chris Gayle said “Things have been steadily improving and are beginning to open up a little more now between players and the board.
It’s looking good, and we’ve to try and build from this to get the best players out on the field.” He further added on saying “The fans were happy to see me back on the field representing West Indies.
Hopefully, things can get better. Hopefully I can play a few more games. I definitely want to play the 2019 World Cup”
Currently, the Windies cricket is in a spot of a bother, as they were unable to make it to the Champions Trophy and their direct qualification for the world cup looks far from now.
However, the return of the core members into the side boosts up the strength of the Windies squad in their hope to qualify for the World Cup 20
