BCCI announce a new bowling coach
The circus around the Indian head coach role does not seem be to going away anytime soon, does it?
Just days after BCCI announced that Ravi Shastri would become the head coach of team India, a new controversy has begun to run in the back pages.
Along with Ravi Shastri, Zaheer Khan and Rahul Dravid were announced as the bowling coach and batting coach respectively.
But it looks like Zaheer’s appointment has created a fuss as many people have started questioning his status as a coach.
In spite of the confirmation given by the CAC and BCCI, the appointment letters for both Zaheer and Dravid have been postponed till July 22.

All this confusion seems to have risen because of Shastri’s insistence of having Bharat Arun as the bowling coach instead of Zaheer. And it looks like he has got his wish, as the board have named Arun as the official bowling coach.
But where does that leave Zaheer?
When asked why Arun was named as the bowling coach, this is what a CoA member had to say.
“That has always been the practice and we’ve followed that by granting Ravi’s request. Arun will be back as the bowling coach,” commented a CoA member according to Mumbai Mirror.
Arun will now fly off to Sri Lanka, where he will meet his old colleagues, Sanjay Bangar and R Sridhar. But will he also be joined by Zaheer and Rahul?
A lot of questions are left to be answered here in this saga!
