‘James Harden has Heat, Nets and Sixers on his wish list’: Rockets star is already clear about his future’; reports claim

Sources say James Harden has already decided where he would like to be traded if Houston decides to start rebuilding; Miami Heat is a likely destination.

With the recent news surrounding the Houston Rockets, James Harden’s future was up in the air. It was reported earlier that Harden and Russell Westbrook were unsure about what direction the Rockets were headed in.

As reports surged claiming Russell Westbrook wants out of Houston, Harden double downed and let it be known he is fully committed to the Rockets this coming season.

With the Rockets hiring new coach Stephen Silas, Harden must find it intriguing to see how this new offense under Silas would work.

However, sources claim, Harden has secretly talked about potential destinations away from Houston, if Houston were to blow the team up.

James Harden reportedly would like to play in Miami, if Houston doesn’t work out

The Miami Heat will most likely want to play it safe this offseason by not signing any big names once the trade moratorium is lifted. This is so as to keep cap space for potentially signing 2x MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo.

However, with Harden wanting to perhaps move to South Beach, the Heat would have to trade for him. A trade package for one of the greatest offensive players in his prime would be a hefty one.

There is no one on the Heat roster who makes close to what Harden makes per year. To match salaries and value, players such as Tyler Herro, Duncan Robinson, Bam Adebayo, and Derrick Jones Jr. would be involved.

How would James Harden mesh with the Heat?

Presuming Harden does make it onto the Heat roster, he would actually be a decent fit with them. This is of course if the Heat do not give up too much for him.

The floor spacing would be great, opening up driving lanes for drive and dish opportunities. Harden is also an underrated on ball defender and would be great alongside Butler and Bam on the defensive end of the floor.
