Philip Rivers says "We're just continuing to get better": Optimistic after beating Tennessee Titans

Philip Rivers is coming off a big road division win against the Titans, putting them first in the AFC South. Rivers credited the team for the win, while also having a good game for himself.

Philip Rivers dominates the Titans

Rivers had a solid game passing for a staggering 308 yards and 1 touchdown pass. He recorded a completion percentage of 74% and had no interceptions thrown. Rivers also reached a career milestone.

Colts had a “balanced” game says Rivers

Philip River’s favourite target was Micheal Pittman Jr. He caught 7 passes for 101 yards, a career-high. Colt’s running back Nyheim Hines also rushed for 70 yards averaging 5.8 yards per carry. Hines also had 2 overall touchdowns.

The defense did struggle, surrendering a total of 157 rushing yards. However, they held Titan’s quarterback Ryan Tannehill to just 147 passing yards. They locked down Tannehill, letting him complete only 55.5% of his passes on the night.

Colts special teams makes a play

The Colts special teams blocked a punt, recovered it and scored a touchdown. Late in the 3rd quarter, E.J. Reed blocked a punt, giving the Colts a lead of 10 points against the Titans.
