WWE announce NXT Special titled ‘New Year’s Evil’. The announcement was made during NXT TakeOver: WarGames tonight.
Vince McMahon may want nothing to do with WCW but Triple H sure likes to borrow from them for his show. He has brought back several PPV’s introduced in their formal rival’s company and has very successfully repurposed it for NXT.

To Triple H and NXT’s credit though, they’ve done justice to every borrowed idea and have thoroughly entertained with every new addition to their universe.
Getting back to ‘New Year’s Evil’, there is very little known about the show or the card as of yet. The only information at hand right now is that it will take place on the USA Network on January 6th, 2021 at 8/7PM CST. Although it will be just another episode of their weekly show, it will be promoted and treated as a special event.
