Seth Rollins: The Universal Champion’s opponent at WWE Super ShowDown confirmed. The challenger was announced after a fatal four-way tonight at Monday night Raw.
The WWE had earlier announced on their website that the next challenger for Seth Rollins title would be decided by a fatal four-way on Raw. The four competitors were The Miz, AJ Styles, Bobby Lashley and Braun Strowman.
However, AJ Styles pulled out of the match following an injury. The Phenomenal One was replaced by Baron Corbin who attacked Styles in a backstage segment.
Baron Corbin and Bobby Lashley formed an Alliance in the match and double teamed on The Miz and Strowman for majority of the match. One of the most memorable spots from the match was when the two went for a double superplex but Strowman ran in and sent all three opponents to the mat at once.

The Big Finish
The finish of the match saw Lashley brawl with Strowman through the crowd, into the backstage area. Inside the ring, the Miz attacked Corbin with kicks and backed Corbin into the corner. Miz hit Corbin with double knees in the corner, and another set of running knees. Miz charged again but Corbin caught him with the End of Days. Corbin covered for the pin and won. Given that this match was advertised as an elimination match, this was a little perplexing. The explanation given by commentary was that Strowman and Lashley were apparently counted out.
With the win, Baron Corbin has become the new #1 contender to WWE Universal Champion Seth Rollins for a match at Super ShowDown in Saudi Arabia.
The Saudi General Sports Authority, in partnership with WWE, will host the WWE Super Showdown. The event will emanate from the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on Friday, June 7th.
