“I don’t care what he says”- Max Verstappen on Charles Leclerc
“I don’t care what he says”- Max Verstappen blasts Charles Leclerc after Ferrari driver called his rivals comments as silly.
Max Verstappen has now attacked Charles Leclerc with the heat between the two after the Sakhir Grand Prix crash is not dying down, as earlier the Dutch driver called Leclerc stupid for going in early.
Though, the statement by Verstappen comes after Leclerc called his comments silly when asked by the Ziggo Sports what’s the most annoying thing he finds about his rival.
“Sometimes he can make silly comments in the media, but in the end, that’s what makes Max,” he responded. “I think we need personalities in Formula 1 and that’s fine.”
When told about what Leclerc had said, Verstappen was his usual self in response. “I don’t care what he says,” the Dutchman told Ziggo. “If he doesn’t want to know what I’m saying, then he shouldn’t read my comments.”
Blunt words on George Russell
Verstappen in recent times has earned an image of a person who is unapologetic and can be straight-up mean, but for him, it is just honesty coming out of his mind.
“It’s a good moment to dramatically lie down in front of the camera,” he said after Russell lied down on the grass after losing the Sakhir Grand Prix for Mercedes.
Apart from this, when Verstappen gave a post-race interview with Lewis Hamilton after the Bahrain GP, the Dutch was asked about the mental state of drivers seeing a crash like Romain Grosjean’s.
To which, Verstappen replied that if he was a team boss and the driver told him that he is not comfortable in stepping inside the car, he would surely not let him drive for his team again.
In response, Hamilton immediately said that he is glad that Verstappen is not his boss.
