Cameron Green concussion injury: The Australian all-rounder has become the second uncapped Aussie player to suffer a concussion.

During the first day of the second tour match of the ongoing India’s tour of Australia in Sydney, Australia A all-rounder Cameron Green received a massive blow on the head after he failed to stop a hard-hitting shot from India spearhead Jasprit Bumrah.

It all happened on the first delivery of the 45th over when Bumrah continued with his batting frenzy to hit a full delivery from Green back at him. In what would’ve been a stunning catch, Green not able to stop the ball saw him getting hit on the head.

Having just begun his seventh over, the 21-year old player lied on the ground for a couple of minutes before walking off. In the same time, both non-striker Mohammed Siraj and Bumrah were seen checking on the uncapped player.

Coming on the back of scoring 125* (202) during a 104-run partnership alongside Australia Test captain Tim Paine in the first tour match, Green had dismissed India batsman Shubman Gill (43) before getting injured.

Following an injury to uncapped batsman Will Pucovski during the first tour match, Green has become the second Australian player to suffer a concussion injury.

With both Pucovski and Green were in vicinity of a Test debut during the first Test against India in Adelaide starting from December 15, the pair has now joined Australia’s long list of injured players.

While Cricket Australia are yet to provide an official update about Green’s injury, all that is confirmed as of now is that he has been ruled out of this match and has been replaced by Patrick Rowe.
