“An NBA analyst on Inside the NBA might know these guys”: Ernie Johnson dunks on Charles Barkley for going 0-5 on Who He Play For
Ernie Johnson had what could be his most comical moment in years after he roasted Charles Barkley for going 0-5 on Who He Play For.
Inside the NBA is half the reason why some rabid basketball fans see out boring, no-consequence games. The show spices up the game breaks so significantly that a clip goes viral almost every day. The quartet of Ernie Johnson, Shaquille O’Neal, Charles Barkley and Kenny Smith are just a class apart.
Fighting with each other like middle school children during recess, they make life more bearable for a lot of us. Chuck is the absolute best of the 4, but all of them have their roles to play. Kenny and Shaq often play the instigator, while Ernie tries to rein in the fun within reasonable limits.
Last night, Ernie ditched the pacifist role and took on an aggressive role. He dumbfounded Chuck.

Later in the show, Ernie Johnson was plugging a new addition to the show’s social media strategy for the new season. This allows fans of Inside to play the game on Instagram and compete with Chuck. Barkley started feeling himself and boasted that he could surely beat “the public.”
Barkley: “A regular guy on the street ain’t going to know those guys.”
Ernie: “But maybe an NBA analyst on Inside the NBA might.”
Boom. Roasted.
