“I took all that personally”: Steph Curry channeled his inner Michael Jordan, unleashed GOAT mentality with career-high against Damian Lillard’s Blazers
Steph Curry led the Warriors to their first home win of the season with his 62 point game against Damian Lillard and the Blazers.
The past year and a half have not been the easiest for the Warriors and their fans. After securing a way to the 2019 NBA Finals, the Warriors lost KD to an Achilles injury and Klay to a torn ACL.
KD switched teams in the offseason, and Klay was declared as unfit to play the 2019-20 season. Within 4 games of the season, Stephen Curry broke his left wrist in a game. After that, the Warriors ended up with the league-worst 15-50 record.
Fast forward to this season, Klay Thompson suffers an Achilles injury a month before the season started. The season started with two games where the opponents blew the Warriors out.
Even though Curry found his footing and guided the Warriors to a 2-2 record, there were a lot of skeptics. After the 123-98 loss to Portland at home, the naysayers just grew louder.
“I take all that personally”: Steph Curry
A lot of NBA stars like to voice out and reply to the hate that they are being showered upon. Stephen Curry is not one of them. He likes to shut the haters up with his work on the court, and shut them up he did. In the 137-122 win against the Blazers tonight, the 2x MVP made a new career-high 62 points.

The fans reacted to Curry’s statement and made their own comparisons to Jordan and his ‘Last Dance’ clip.

The Warriors and Steph Curry do not have much time to celebrate tonight’s win. They suit up tomorrow night, as the Kings make their way to the Bay Area.
