Brisbane Test 2021 tickets: How to book tickets for Australia vs India 4th Test at the Gabba?
Brisbane Test 2021 tickets: The reduced capacity for the fourth Test in Brisbane has called for a re-ticketing process for all ticket holders.
After a lot of speculation around the venue for the fourth Test between Australia and India, Cricket Australia have finally confirmed that the fixture will go as per the original plan. The development means that both teams will travel from Sydney to Brisbane to play the fourth Test beginning from January 15.
Contrary to the allowed 25% capacity at the Sydney Cricket Ground, Brisbane has been allowed to fill up 50% of its stands which means that roughly 20,000 people will be present to witness the last of the four-match series.
It was only last week that a case of the UK variant of COVID-19 had been detected in Brisbane which brought a three-day lockdown for the citizens. With the same scheduled to end on Monday evening, it won’t have much of an affect on the Test match.
“The Gabba will be filled to half the capacity and masks are mandatory for entering, leaving and moving around the stadium,” Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk was quoted as saying by cricket.com.au.
“But if you are sitting there at your seat, you won’t have to wear your mask because you are outside. Most people will be coming by public transport anyway, where you will have to wear your mask.”

A decrease in capacity for the Gabba Test means that fans will have to participate in a re-ticketing process. People who have already booked their tickets will be “fully refunded” including all associated costs. In addition to the refund, they will also get an exclusive slot to book tickets for the final Test.
It is worth mentioning that the exclusive slot for existing ticket holders will run between 3 PM (Brisbane time) on January 13 to 9 AM (Brisbane time) on January 14. After this slot, tickets will be available for all general public.
Also capacity confirmed for the Brisbane Test. 50 percent is what I am being told. For those who were saying match would be cancelled etc a lot ride on these fixtures and such cancellations are an extreme measure and very rarely happen. A solution does emerge.
