NFL Playoff predictions: Packers edge Rams, Lamar Jackson runs past Bills and more
NFL playoff predictions: Can Aaron Rodgers pull off another superb win at the age of 37? Lamar Jackson gets his second playoff win? Tom Brady or Drew Brees?
The NFL divisional round is finally here, as fans all around the world await the weekend fun. Here’s a look at our NFL playoff predictions:
Green Bay Packers win a close one against the Rams
Aaron Rodgers is the frontrunner for the MVP award this season. Rodgers has been phenomenal, throwing for 48 touchdown passes and just 5 interceptions.
While pro-bowler Davante Adams will be battling with lockdown cornerback Jalen Ramsey, and the Rams defensive line creates pressure, running back Aaron Jones might be the key to their victory.
PREDICTION: Packers win 27-17
Lamar Jackson spins past the Buffalo Bills
The Bills won a close one against the Colts last week. While Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs continue to torch any defense they play, the Bills defense won’t be able to contain Lamar Jackson.
Stefon Diggs will have another monster game, while the Ravens receiving core will be shut down by the Bills secondary. However, Lamar Jackson’s agility will lead them to a win. The Bills’ linebackers will struggle to contain and keep up with Jackson.
PREDICTIONS: Ravens win 30-27
Saints’ defense holds Tom Brady and Buccaneers offense in check
The Saints have already played the Buccaneers twice this season, and won both times. While Brady is on a 5 game win streak, his offense won’t match up against the Saints’ defense. Turnovers will be the key to this matchup
Marshawn Lattimore has locked up Mike Evans twice already this season, while the Saints pass rush has sacked Brady 6 times in their past 2 matcups. Brady has also thrown 5 interceptions against them this season.
PREDICTIONS: Saints win 34-28
Mahomes and Mayfield duel out in a high scoring game
The Chiefs are looking for another back to back Superbowl win, with Patrick Mahomes leading the offense. Tyreek Hill will outspeed the Browns defense, while rookie running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire will provide some explosiveness on the ground as well.
The Browns offense will also get clicking, but only late in the game. While the Browns’ pass rush is definitely their strong point, Mahomes has been sacked only 22 times. His mobility will be the key to this offense.
PREDICTIONS: Chiefs win 38- 30
