Is Kyrie Irving playing tonight vs Magic? Brooklyn Nets release Covid-19 tracing and injury report ahead of game against Nikola Vucevic and co
Kyrie Irving has been confirmed to be out for a 6th consecutive game. He will not be suiting up tonight for the Nets against Orlando Magic.
Irving has been making all the wrong headlines over the past few months. It all started with a crazy podcast with Kevin Durant. Then came his preseason media boycott, which cost him a slap on the wrist. After quieting the critics for all of 10 days, he missed a game-winner against the Wizards.
That was only the beginning, as Irving has sat out every game after January 5th due to personal reasons. It was later revealed that he was at a family party in public violating the league’s Covid-19 protocol. Irving has been fined his match fees for 2 games, in addition to $50,000 for breaking protocol.
Irving will forfeit salary for any games missed due to five-day quarantine period. He is eligible to return to Nets team activities on Saturday if he continues to test negative for coronavirus. https://t.co/rnNhgHB8am

Is Kyrie Irving playing tonight?
It was confirmed that Irving will be made available to the Nets roster for today’s game against Orlando. But the 28-year-old has been away from basketball activities for over a week now. This means that he will need some time to get back up to NBA speed.
Yesterday, Malika Andrews of ESPN confirmed the star point guard’s unavailability for tonight’s game.
Sources: Kyrie Irving will be out due to health and safety protocols for Saturday’s game against Orlando.
While Irving has expressed a desire to return, sources say, the extensive time away from the court requires a period of ramping up basketball activities.
