“It’s up to Binotto to turn the tide and reverse the downward spiral” – Ferrari F1 boss urged to get iconic team back to winning ways
“It’s up to Binotto to turn the tide and reverse the downward spiral” – Ferrari F1 boss urged to get iconic team back to winning ways by Ferrari insider.
Ferrari F1 had a horrendous last season on the grid, finishing a lowly P6 in the Constructors Championship. This piled massive pressure on the Ferrari team principal Mattia Binotto to call it quits. But, according to team insider Leo Turrini, Binotto should not be the only one to blame for the team’s shocking performances in 2020.
“The current situation is the result of the mistakes Ferrari has made over the past ten years. It’s up to Binotto to turn the tide and reverse the downward spiral. It would be neither fair nor right to appoint him as the scapegoat for Ferrari’s decline.”

Ferrari chairman & CEO doesn’t like racing!
Turrini also revealed that Ferrari supremo John Elkann doesn’t like racing. This, if true, is quite an irony for the man at the helm of the most prestigious racing brand globally.
“John Elkann doesn’t like to race, and he has every right to do so. He can still be a good chairman and director for Ferrari, as long as he surrounds himself with the right assistants who make up for his lack of passion for racing.”
Ferrari is hoping for better things this F1 season, with a top-three finish earmarked as an achievement. After not winning a single championship last decade, the Italian giants would be hoping to rise to the top of the podium numerous times this decade. The challenge starts with Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz in the red-hot seats this season.
