“Stephen Curry would go out and drop 30 after this”: Andrew Bogut reveals amazing motivational technique his Warriors teammate would use after bad first halves
Andrew Bogut reveals the ninja technique Stephen Curry uses to motivate himself after having bad first halves in Warriors games.
One of the most important habits that a great player cultivates is to have a short memory. This allows the greats to get over bad performances in a jiffy while staying level-headed after good ones. The truly great players are generally always able to put their disappointments behind them.
Some of the greats also use criticism as motivation. They take in a lot of criticism within a short span and this fuels their competitive spirit and raises their level. Michael Jordan notoriously looked for any and every sort of spark that could motivate him to do better than usual.
Andrew Bogut was Stephen Curry’s teammate during his best individual years. He knows everything about what sets his MVP teammate off, what drives him and what he cherishes.
Andrew Bogut reveals surprising Stephen Curry secret for motivation
The 36-year-old Australian hosts his own podcast after retirement, called the Rogue Bogues podcast. In this, he often details memories from his championship Warriors years. This time, Bogut revealed what Stephen Curry does for motivation after a bad first half:
“He’ll check his mentions at halftime, when he has a bad half. It’s the craziest shit I ever saw. Steph, if he had a bad half, he would go on social media and then come out and drop 30.”

The way Steph executes his mini revenge is something that the likes of Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant can definitely relate to. They were all cut from the same cloth, as I said earlier. A great attitude always spawns great results when you combine it with great efforts and talents. Steph certainly has all of these ingredients in his locker.
