“Bradley Beal stared down Russell Westbrook”: Wizards star appears to side with John Wall during altercation between star point guards
Bradley Beal gave Westbrook a questioning stare after Russ exchanged words with his old teammate, John Wall in last night’s game.
For the first time in their careers, Bradley Beal and John Wall faced off against each other. The two have a brother-like bond like no other in the league. During their match, Beal was caught staring down Westbrook as he was in a heated exchange of words with Wall.

Beal and Wall played together for 7 seasons and Washington before Wall was traded to the Rockets for Westbrook. The two knew each other long before they were in the league. They have a lot of respect for each other on and off the court.
The two battled it out on the court which turned out to be a great duel. Beal finished the game with a game-high 33 points, while Wall had 24 points and the win.

The match was anticipated to be a heated one. A lot of banter between the two teams was evident, especially the two All-Star point guards – Russell Westbrook and John Wall, for which they both received technical fouls. When Westbrook was asked about the trash talk, he was very salty about it:
“I don’t start talking sht. I defend myself. I don’t allow people just to say anything – especially when I know the facts pertaining everyone on the court … I think they just talking sht ’cause they just started winning. We will play them again.“
But John Wall made sure he gave Westbrook props after the match. Wall’s comments on their trash-talking were:
“Trash talking. That’s what two competitive guys do. Russ been kicking my a** for years. He’s a hell of a talent.”
