Michael Schumacher’s family ready to release rare footage of F1 legend amidst his recovery battle

Michael Schumacher’s family is willing to release rare footages of F1 legend for the public eyes, as for 7 years the world was aloof of him.

Michael Schumacher in the winter of 2013 met a fatal skiing accident leading to a fatal brain injury, and since then the German race driver has been kept away from the public eye.

Now, according to a report by the Mirror, Michael Schumacher’s family has agreed to release several rare footages, including private recordings, in a documentary named as “Schumacher”, directed by German filmmakers Michael Wech and Hanns-Bruno Kammertons.

Though the documentary production has been delayed due to the ongoing COVID-19 widespread, Sabine Kehm, the spokesperson for the Schumacher family explained close relatives of Michael including his wife, son and daughter would appear in it.

“The merciless and daring Formula 1 driver, the ambitious athlete, the accomplished mechanic with a unique technical flair, the reliable team player and loving family man.”

Unclear whether the current state will be shown

Even though Michael’s accident was a heart-wrenching experience for the family and fans, the former decided to keep his current medical details away from the public eye.

Though, the source hasn’t revealed whether the current state of the seven-time World Champion will be shown or not. It seems unlikely that it will happen.

Only a selective people have close access to Schumacher, including his former Team Principal and present FIA chief Jean Todt, who at times gave selective details to the public.

“I saw Michael last week. He is fighting. My God, we know he had a terrible and unfortunate skiing accident which has caused him a lot of problems,” said Todt.

“But he has an amazing wife next to him, he has his kids, his nurses, and we can only wish him the best and to wish the family the best too. All I can do is to be close to them until I can do something, and then I will do it.”
