Canberra cricket ground weather forecast: What is the weather prediction for Scorchers vs Heat BBL 10 Challenger?
Canberra cricket ground weather: The virtual semi-final was obstructed by rain during the business end of the first innings.
During the Challenger match of the ongoing 10th season of the Big Bash League between Perth Scorchers and Brisbane Heat in Canberra, Perth Scorchers played exceedingly well after opposition captain Chris Lynn won the bat flip and chose to field.
Taking the field without injured Jason Roy, Scorchers swapped the English batsman with Cameron Bancroft as the move yielded instant results in a virtual semi-final.
Led by Liam Livingstone, Scorchers opening batsmen joined hands to stitch a 114-run partnership at a brisk rate to put Heat on the back foot. Before getting out to Heat spinner Mitchell Swepson, the 27-year old batsman scored a power-packed 77 (39) with the help of five fours and six sixes.

Mitchell Marsh, who was promoted to No. 3, continued the attack on the opposition bowlers much like Livingstone. Bancroft, on the other hand, was seen playing the anchor role to reach to his ninth T20 half-century.
Canberra cricket ground weather
It was in the penultimate over of the Scorchers’ innings that rain started to pour down to the extent that the players had to walk-off the ground.
While clouds had made their presence felt at the start of the match, lightning and thunderstorm are expected to follow soon according to the weather forecast on AccuWeather.
In an unwanted development, the rain probability will also jump from 26% to 53% at 11 PM (AEST). In simple words, the weather forecast has it in it to further affect the match. In such a scenario, a rain delay followed by reduction in overs shouldn’t be surprising. If the delay gets elongated, Scorchers might not be allowed to bat any further in this match.
At the time of the rain break, Scorchers have scored 189/1 in 18.1 overs with Bancroft and Marsh as the two unbeaten batsmen.
