‘Every time he shot the ball, I thought it was going in’: Luka Doncic reveals how Stephen Curry left him in awe in his second-highest score ever.

Stephen Curry has left many fans mesmerised with his unique gameplay. Not only the fans are in awe of his game, his own opponents too, find him unbelievably talented. On Saturday night, Luka Doncic got a taste of Curry’s greatness.

Steph went on to score an emphatic 57 points against the Mavericks. Although his team fell short to the Mavericks, 132-134, Curry managed to leave the whole league in astonishment with his performance.

Luka had himself a career night himself, tying his career-high in points, scoring 42 against the Warriors. This didn’t stop the third-year player from praising the two-time MVP. Luka said:

“Going against Steph, it’s fun. What Steph does is something unbelievable. For me, it was suffering. Every time he shot a ball, I (thought) it was going in. Something unbelievable I haven’t seen in my life. He’s an amazing player, he changes games. Today we got a win, but it’s always fun to play against him.”

‘Stephen Curry can make shots from anywhere on the floor’: Mavericks coach Rick Carlisle

Stephen Curry has been absolutely amazing this season. Being out the whole season last year, no one really expected him to have the kind of the season he’s having. This year, Curry has been putting up similar numbers to his 2015-2016 unanimous MVP season. He has been averaging an insane 28.2 points, 6.1 assists and 5.5 rebounds per game.

The 6-time All-Star and the Slovenian prodigy are currently the top two vote-getting guards in the Western Conference, with 2,113,178 and 1,395,719 votes respectively.

After the thriller of a match, Mavericks head coach had a lot of praises for Golden State’s leader. Carlisle said that Curry was definitely one of the hardest players to guard in the league. He also said:

“I don’t know if there’s a harder guy to play in basketball right now than Steph Curry because of all the different ways he affects the game and just his uncanny ability to make shots from anywhere on the floor.”

Despite the loss, Curry definitely put on a show while scoring his second 50-point game of this season. If Curry keeps up this performance, he’ll definitely lead the Warriors to a much better position than they’re in.
