“The original people are returning”: Kyrie Irving posts a strange, yet fascinating tweet about Europeans and Americans changing history
Kyrie Irving has always been a weirdo, and we have many instances to support this claim. However, the Nets guard outdid himself today.
Irving has had what seems like an endless stream of weird incidents, comments and some plainly nonsensical actions in his past. As good as Kyrie is when he takes the court, he’s the Dennis Rodman of this era in terms of weirdness.
Sometimes, this comes across as endearing, like when he took a walking stick to the Suns Arena this month. Sometimes, it’s confusing and comical, like his stance on how he believed (believes?) the earth is flat.
Often, it’s also vitriolic in nature, like when he called media members ‘pawns’ ahead of this season. All in all, Irving has given practically everyone enough reason to sit up and take note of his comments.
Kyrie Irving hits out at Europeans and Americans in a bizarre tweet
The latest episode of Kyrie’s manic behavior is centered around the ‘original people’. Irving posted this warning in a tweet this morning:
“You better stop playing with History. You better stop lying to your people Europe and America. You better stop feeding BS to the innocent children of God.”
“The Original people are returning, and this time God will intervene at every corner of the Earth.”

and this time God will intervene at every corner of the Earth.

Perhaps he’s referring to the distortion of history by Europeans and their role in the modernization of civilizations. He might also be (rightfully) aggrieved at some of the actions taken by colonial powers. British settlers did not deal kindly with the indigenous, or ‘original’ people of North America.
It is not easy to sympathize with Kyrie given how vitriolic some of these comments seem. The man seems unhinged at various points – and often also acts condescendingly.
Once can only hope that he sees the error of his ways at some point. Otherwise, he’s absolutely tarnishing what could be a really rich legacy as a talented ball player and entertainer.
