“A fan once asked for Michael Jordan’s signature in the bathroom stall”: Will Perdue reveals the bizarre situation between the Bulls legend and a fan
Will Perdue reveals a hilarious anecdote between a fan and Michael Jordan. The story tells us just how extreme would fans go to meet their idol.
Very few players are as influential as Michael Jordan. He is probably one of the if not the best players to play the game. MJ had a big impact on the game during his playing days. He continues to have a positive influence even today, years after his retirement.
Perdue narrated the following story:
“We’re flying somewhere, we get to wherever we’re going, we get off the plane and as all men know, you get off the plane and the first thing you do is beeline it to the bathroom.”
“Well, we all come running in and everybody’s standing at the urinals and Michael walks in and goes ‘Ugh.’ So then he’s gotta go into a stall, right? He closes the door.”
“So obviously this guy thinks ‘Well, he’s gonna be in there for a while,’ and takes a piece of paper and a pen and sticks it up underneath the door and goes ‘Hey, man, you’re gonna be in there for a while. Do you mind signing this?’”
A fan once asked Michael Jordan for an autograph while he was in a bathroom stall. Jordan’s former teammate Will Perdue shared the story of a fan’s flagrant foul. https://t.co/H91hEcLTo1 @NBCLX #NBCCT

There is no doubt that Mike was the biggest star of his era. His on-court game and off-court drama were what made fans be interested in him. As soon as Jordan got drafted as a 21-year-old, he had an immediate overall impact on the Chicago Bulls.
The Hall-Of-Famer led the team to win games as well as helped sell tickets. In his illustrious 15-year-career, the 6-foot-6 combo guard left a lot of fans as well as his opponents in awe.
He averaged astonishing numbers his whole career. His jaw-dropping highlights reel, amongst others, clearly portray to us why the five-time MVP had the massive fan-following.
There is no doubt that Jordan’s unique style of play and overly-stacked resume got him many fans over the world. Obviously, for such an icon like MJ, there would be people falling over each other for a chance of getting his signature.
