“Make sure you F****N keep us down”: Liam Cooper Hits Out After Leeds United Stun Manchester City
The visitors stole an unlikely win from the encounter
Despite taking on a new look, shuffled around Manchester City unit, Leeds United knew they faced a daunting task on the day. One of the leakiest defences in the league, the visitors were going to pull off a heroic task if they were to salvage anything from the contest.
Despite taking a lead on the night as Stuart Dallas netted in the first half, Leeds United still stared at the barrel. Liam Cooper was given his marching orders soon after, a decision many berated owing to the soft decision to issue a red card to the Leeds United man.
Despite facing a daunting task, Leeds United pulled off one of the biggest heists of the season. Defending with all they had, the side managed to walk away from the Etihad with all three points as Stuart Dallas netted his second in the tailend of the contest.
Liam Cooper Besmirches The Referee
And Liam Cooper made sure he made his feelings known ensuing that win. In what was an indirect jibe at the referee and his decision to send Cooper off, the Leeds United player issued a strongly worded message on Twitter.
It is what it is! But make sure you F****N keep us down because boy are we coming back. Get that into you!!!!! My brothers are animals! MOT: Liam Cooper on Twitter

Marco Biesla also spoke about the win and talked about what it meant to the side.
“It’s part of Leeds’ campaign in the Premier League. The position that Leeds obtain in the Premier League this year will be above any one performance. Of course for the players to have been able to overcome the difficulties of the game today adds value to each of the participants in the game.
“It’s not the same to play well and to win in a game that is successful than when you play in a game that is less successful.
“But I think the effect is over the players individually and as a team and then after it’s the evaluation in the table where which team finishes,” the Leeds United head honcho said.
