Hanuma Vihari catch vs Nottinghamshire: Indian batsman grabs splendid catch to dismiss Steven Mullaney on Warwickshire debut
Hanuma Vihari catch: The Indian batsman has commenced his county career for Warwickshire on a successful note at Trent Bridge.
During a Group 1 match of the ongoing County Championship between Nottinghamshire and Warwickshire in Nottingham, Warwickshire batsman Hanuma Vihari grabbed a praiseworthy catch to dismiss Nottinghamshire captain Steven Mullaney.
It all happened on the last delivery of the 41st over when Mullaney played an aerial flick off Nottinghamshire captain Will Rhodes. With the right-hand batsman not timing the ball well, it had sort of lobbed towards the right of mid-wicket.
Vihari, who was fielding at mid-wicket, took a few steps towards the ball before completing a splendid one-handed catch to become a source of amazement for his teammates and Warwickshire fans.
Playing his debut match for the club today, Vihari contributing on the field is bound to boost his confidence before his chance to bat at Trent Bridge. Not part of any Indian Premier League franchise, Vihari had signed with Warwickshire as a replacement player for South Africa batsman Pieter Malan.
Before the tea break, Rhodes also introduced Vihari into the attack as the Indian player conceded 11 runs in his first over. Earlier, it was Mullaney who had won the toss and chose to bat.

Special catch from India’s Hanuma Vihari at Trent Bridge. The benefit of the enhanced streams in place these days. Not long ago that would have been off camera and just team-mates celebrating wildly https://t.co/nDuObNzmxB

Vihari is bowling now. His second ball has been hit so far it may need to quarantine when it comes back.
