Watch: Hardik Pandya takes an absolute peach of a catch

When the ball goes high in the air, the expectations are high and interesting things are bound to happen. Any of the players in the team will be raring to take the catch to bring back the winning tempo.

During the T20I opener between India and New Zealand at the Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium in Delhi, India posted a colossal 203 target for the Kiwis by the backing of Dhawan and Rohit who chipped in with twin 80’s.

Having done more than enough with the bat, the Men in Blue stepped into the field to go about their business in what is important for the hosts to open an account against them in T20Is.

Martin Guptill gave some spectacular start by cracking a superb four straight down the ground off Ashish Nehra’s bowling in the first over to put early pressure on the Indians.

It was during the 1.3 over, Chahal tried something tricky to outsmart Guptill. The swashbuckling opener had a go at him as soon as the ball came straight to him.

Guptill’s connection to the ball went straight up in the air near Hardik Pandya who had all eyes on the ball and made runs across from long-off region with blistering pace.

Initially, it seemed like the ball would touch the turf first. But, Hardik Pandya had other ideas. He had to put an acrobatic dive to grab it with his safe pair of hands.

Attaboy! that was one heck of a spectacular catch from Hardik Pandya. Take a bow!  That sums up the essential all-rounder asset for you!
