“Spike Lee didn’t move a muscle”: Anthony Davis and LeBron James roasted the Knicks superfan after Lakers pulled off a comeback win
Anthony Davis and LeBron James derived great pleasure in bantering with Knicks superfan and Oscar winner Spike Lee last night.
The Los Angeles Lakers pulled off a morale-boosting win over the Knicks at the Staples center. Down 75-85 at one point in the 4th quarter, Anthony Davis and co battled back with some gritty defensive plays.
It still took a game-tying tip-in from Wesley Matthews with 3 seconds left on the clock for the Lakers to force OT. Overtime was another nerve-wracking affair, with both elite defensive units busting out their guts to keep their opponents in check.
AD had a rough night on the offensive end, going for only 8-of-23 from the floor all game long. He did, however, make up for that on the other end.
He proved exactly why he was held in such high regard for DPOY conversations last year with some elite clutch defense on Julius Randle and Derrick Rose. The Lakers capped off the night with another lockdown on their final possession. AD and LeBron understandably got pretty hyped because of their manner of victory.
Anthony Davis and LeBron James trash talk Spike Lee after the win
With emotions running so high, it was quite clear that the Lakers were in jubilation mode. They had, after all, sealed another W without a recognized playmaker on the roster.
Spike Lee, the eternally famous Knicks superfan, was present at the stadium to witness this great bout. He’d spent all game talking his characteristic trash to the Lakers, and it was payback time now.
AD and LeBron both went out of their way to talk trash to the Oscar-winning director. You can see the clip circulating all over Twitter now, and it’s generated quite the response from NBA fans.

Spike Lee really didn’t move a muscle, as somebody commented in the replies. He’ll still walk away from the arena with his head held high. The Knicks have, after all, confirmed a playoff berth for the first time in 8 seasons tonight. Celebrations will be in order.
