“Kwame Brown has every right to speak his mind”: Stephen A Smith supports former Lakers star despite Kwame challenging him to a boxing match

Stephen A Smith is perhaps regretting his harsh words for Kwame Brown over the years. The ESPN analyst refused to criticize the former Laker.

Kwame Brown is now back in the airwaves in the light of a recent interview done by Gilbert Arenas on ‘All The Smoke’. All the Smoke is a podcast hosted by former Warriors Stephen Jackson and Matt Barnes.

Arenas used the podcast to take some needless shots at Kwame, who was his former teammate in Washington. Brown has long stayed silent about how he’s viewed by the media. But this was perhaps the straw that broke the camel’s back.

Kwame came out swinging at this trio of former NBA players, accusing them of using their platform to undermine other black players. His hourlong YouTube video gives us a peek into the mind of an endlessly criticized man.

Kwame also called out Stephen A Smith in a separate clip, accusing him of acting the same way. Brown threw a boxing challenge the way of the ESPN host. He has every reason to be aggrieved with Stephen A, whose most famous rant was perhaps regarding the former Laker.

Following Kwame’s posts, a few Twitter users have accosted Stephen A Smith, asking him his opinion on this matter. Smith realizes his position as the host of a talking show with millions of viewers.

He gave us the best possible response – one that illustrates that his heart is, after all, in the right place:

It’s going to be good not seeing Kwame being needlessly used as a punchline by sports talking heads. We have other players to criticize and complain about. Leave the retired man alone.
