Julio Jones Next Team Odds: New England Patriots Favorites to Land Falcons WR Amid Trade Rumors
With each day that passes, it looks more likely that the Julio Jones era in Atlanta has come to an end. If the superstar wideout does get traded, where is he expected to land?
Reports of Julio Jones being on the trading block have been floating around for months now. For a number of reasons, it just makes sense for both the Falcons and Jones to move on.
In fact, it even came as a surprise to certain NFL insiders when the Falcons failed to trade him prior to the draft. At the time, Julio’s future was a topic for debate, but now it seems clear that he won’t be wearing the Falcons jersey in 2021.
Yesterday, Shannon Sharpe controversially called Julio on live TV. Jones, who may or may not have been aware of the situation, revealed that he’s “outta there.”
Despite being a top WR, Jones is 32 years old and his contract is a huge burden on Atlanta’s cap, as they look for a proper rebuild. After their historical collapse in Super Bowl 51, the Falcons haven’t looked the same.
They struggled last year, going 4-12 and not showing too many signs of potential. The addition of TE Kyle Pitts in the draft was yet another indication of the impending trade.
From the wideout’s perspective too, a trade makes sense. His productive years are running out and he wants to be on a team that can win right away, which doesn’t seem possible in Atlanta.

What Team Will Trade For Julio Jones?
Of course, this is the big question that remains. While it’s obviously difficult predict, one hint is that the Falcons would prefer to trade him to an AFC team.
Falcons prefer not to trade Julio Jones in the NFC, but would do so for the right price. But now, with Jones wanting out of Atlanta, they are looking for the best value in either conference. https://t.co/D59vq0x9jz

A handful of AFC teams have been linked with the Alabama alum, including the Titans, Raiders, and Ravens. However, according to BetOnline one team, the Patriots, have emerged as favorites.
If this is true, then it would definitely be an interesting outcome. The Pats are coming off a poor season, but they’re proven winners and just added Bama QB Mac Jones with the 15th pick in the draft.
Julio Jones said that he is OUT of Atlanta.
Odds on Julio Jones’ next team IF traded:

Colts +900
Chargers +1200
