“Stephen A Smith, all you’ve done is prove me right”: Kwame Brown’s epic response to ESPN host after he plays Kwame’s Bobcats Shaqtin-a-Fool tape
Stephen A Smith messed up big time by playing a Kwame Brown lowlights clip on his Stephen A’s World show. Kwame’s response is quite amazing.
There was a time when Kwame Brown was used as a verbal punching bag by every sports analyst. Brown was quite clearly not a #1 pick talent given his performances over the years. But he was also a lot better than some other players who flamed out of the league in 2-3 seasons.
The lifespan of an average NBA player’s career lasts less than 5 years. That’s basically 1 year past a rookie-scale contract if you’re a first-round pick. The fact that Kwame was a contributor on at least 5 NBA teams over 12 years in the NBA proves that he brought NBA-level talent to the table.
Players like Darko Milicic, Anthony Bennett, Andy Morrison, Andrea Bargnani and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist have all ‘busted’ ever since Kwame first came to the spotlight. But none of them have ever received close to the same amount of vitriol as the former Lakers forward.
Kwame points out this dichotomy and then goes on to verbally eviscerate Stephen A Smith for his lies.
Kwame Brown exposes Stephen A Smith yet again on YouTube live
Brown posted two separate videos in response to Stephen A’s antics on live TV. The first of those came yesterday at night, where Kwame laid Smith out for picking on Kyrie Irving, Kevin Durant and Westbrook.
He continued in the same vein in today’s video while also clarifying his exact argument for those who don’t get it. You can forward to 13:30 in the video below to get to this part of Kwame’s message:
“I was watching that and I was like ‘No, you didn’t just do that elementary s***.’ I don’t know why, but I honestly thought that you were going to come up with something better than that. After you begged them bosses to do it? Cuz I know that was your idea.”
“They don’t care how stupid you look cuz they’ve got an exit strategy for your a**. If we the people talking, they’ll say ‘Ok now! If this s*** don’t work and they keep lowering ratings like this, your a** is ran. You got up there and made a fool out of yourself, boy. Just like the buck-dancing hoe you is.”
You might find a problem with the tonality of his content. And we get it, many of us have been conditioned to think of explicit language as gross.
But this is just the way a man from the hood talks when he’s truly venting his feelings. If you can’t associate with that part of the message and choose instead to demonize it, that’s a you problem.
