Lakers’ superstar LeBron James talks about matching up against Jae Crowder and how the two always make their matchups electrifying
It is always exciting to see a player play against his former team in the NBA. There is always the added motivation in front of the player to show his old franchise what they’re missing on. However, things get even better when a player is playing against a former teammate. Jae Crowder and LeBron James used to be teammates for a while, during Crowder’s stint in Cleveland. Since then, Crowder has faced off against the King on multiple occasions in the playoffs, playing for different teams.
Crowder has faced off against the King as a part of the Boston Celtics, the Miami Heat, and now the Phoenix Suns. All of these matchups have been nothing but electrifying, especially the last two ones. Whenever the two go against each other on the court, there is always an element of excitement.

In the post-game interview, James talked about how his matchups against his former teammate go. According to James, he tries to make the team and the fans hyped as much as he can.
“For me and for our ballclub, we always try to make plays where we can get each other excited, we can get our fans involved, get our fans excited about it. Because it just brings so much excitement to the game,” James said. “Plays can be momentum swings that can work in our favor. So, that was one of those instances where we had an opportunity to make a momentum play and we were able to deliver.”
Things did end up working in favor of the Lakers last night. They now hold a 2-1 lead heading into Game 4 on Sunday. They’d like to extend the lead even further before heading back to Phoenix for Game 5.
