WATCH : MS Dhoni takes control of the last few overs against New Zealand

After a poor outing with the bat in the recently concluded series against New Zealand, MS Dhoni was once again at the receiving end of criticism from fans and pundits alike.

It seems as if there are people out there who will constantly look to question the inclusion of Dhoni in the side. What people don’t realize is that Dhoni provides three options for skipper Virat Kohli.

Not only is he a power hitter lower down the order and the front line wicket keeper for the side, he is also one of the best cricketing minds to have ever played the game. In tense moments, Dhoni’s experience is invaluable as was recently seen during the third T20 against New Zealand.

With pressure firmly on the fielding side, a flustered Kohli sought Dhoni’s help in the field placements. Dhoni took his time and calmly arranged the field and relaxed Kohli and his other team mates.

After the match, Kohli was visibly ecstatic as he rushed towards Dhoni and his other team mates to celebrate their series victory.

As for Dhoni, it was just another day at the office!
