“I don’t care about Joe Ingles, next question”: Paul George abrasively shoots down question about Jazz star after leading Clippers to Game 3 win at Staples Center
Paul George is no longer a friccin’ moron who just got jingled. The Clippers star refused to acknowledge any feelings for Joe Ingles post-game.
The Clippers came back home to one of the tamest crowds we’ve ever seen in a playoff setting. Despite the relative lack of enthusiasm from the crowd, they held up their end of the deal and took Game 3. Kawhi Leonard and Paul George both had good games for them to take the W.
George, in particular, looks like he’s improving with every single game of the series. Playoff P became Pandemic P again for the length of Game 1 as he shot a beggarly 4-of-17.
But he bounced back with improvements in Game 2, and he’s now produced a real Playoff P performance. Game 3 was a sign that George and Kawhi are growing ever more comfortable playing offense against their second-round opponents.
Paul George deflects questions about Joe Ingles indignantly
One of the major matchups that was constantly discussed by NBA media in 2018 was Paul George vs Joe Ingles. The former had the better raw numbers, but the latter was pulling way above his weight in the playoffs that year.
But since that point, George has put together 3 pretty good seasons as a player and bounced back. Which is why there is no reason anyone should really be comparing him to Ingles any more. But some members of the press needed to hear that. So PG let them know in the presser.
Someone tried to ask Paul George about Joe Ingles…

Joe Ingles vs Paul George really has always been more of a meme fight more than anything else. No serious basketball analyst is under the impression that Ingles is better in any way than George.
At the same time, people also like to play up conflicts between rival players to spice up their matchups. Perhaps its time to do away with media members who’re trying the same thing. We’ve got social media for player drama now, we don’t need y’all stirring s*** up.
