“Go ahead, ridicule Paul George”: Skip Bayless was over the moon after Clippers won Game 5 off PG’s 37 point performance
Skip Bayless hits out at all Paul George critics with a fiery tweet after the Clippers grab an impressive win in game 5.
Has Paul George ever played better in the playoffs?
The star is having something akin to a revenge season right now. After being abysmal in the Orlando Bubble, the man received a lot of flak throughout this past regular season. There was trash talk from players on the court, and even from people online. ‘Pandemic P’ essentially became his new identity at the time.
But it seems these dark times only added to the player’s fierce mentality. In this postseason, while he has had a few bad games, overall, he has been one of the better players in the NBA. In fact, it has started to become a bit surprising now, when the player does have a bad game.
Many in the NBA community are now cheering the star on. And after his incredible display against the Jazz in game 5, Skip Bayless just couldn’t stop himself either.
“GO AHEAD, RIDICULE PAUL GEORGE”: Skip Bayless stands in support of Paul George
Clippers fans may remember that they weren’t exactly in the best place ahead of this game. According to reports, the franchise was scared that Kawhi Leonard had hurt his ACL. And due to these fears, no one knew when the player would be back out on the court.
What we all did know, was that the player was guaranteed to miss game 5. So, it all came down on Paul George to go ballistic for LA to win this game. And let’s just say, he did not disappoint.
A 37-point explosion in a nail-biter game 5. To go along with it, the star also had a monster 16 rebounds, and 5 assists. By the end of the match, he was +9.
Quite simply, he didn’t just step up. He took a giant leap when his number was called, and quite simply deserves all the credit in the world for it. And well, that is credit that Skip Bayless apparently wants to make sure, is received.
GO AHEAD, RIDICULE PAUL GEORGE. CALL HIM MENTALLY WEAK. LAUGH. SCOFF. TAUNT. TROLL. THIS SEASON – AND IN THESE PLAYOFFS – HE HAS TURNED INTO A BONAFIDE, TRUSTABLE SUPERSTAR. PLAYOFF P, INDEED.

The 69-year-old sure knows how to make headlines, we’ll give him that much.
Jokes aside though, as much as we hate to say it, Bayless deserves some credit as well here. He has been supporting this team since the very start of the season when many others clearly doubted them.
And while this still doesn’t excuse him for being one of the most obnoxious ‘analysts’ on television today, it just seems that every dog has its day.
