“I am not comfortable in the car”– Sergio Perez
“I am not comfortable in the car”– Sergio Perez doesn’t feel comfortable in his car amidst an underwhelming day in Austria.
Sergio Perez who finally seemed to have to get along with his Red Bull has claimed to be suffering in the car in Australia. The Mexican was around seven-tenths slower than his teammate Max Verstappen in the Fp1.
While the FP2 wasn’t any better, and he recorded a six-tenths slower time, and not to forget a spin he made during the FP1. Forcing, Perez to say he was struggling at the Red Bull ring.
“I am not comfortable in the car,” said Perez to Skysports. “Track conditions were good and the track was improving as we went through. It will be interesting to see what happens overnight but most importantly from our side, we just have to find a bit of fine-tuning.”
“To have these issues where I am not comfortable with the car,” Perez continued his analysis of Friday’s sessions.”
It will be alright
Perez is still hopeful for the rest of the weekend, he claims that the car got a lot of pace, and can harm his opposition on the straights. A positive outlook ahead of the qualifying.
“We do have a good pace. The long-run pace seems to be promising if we can find a few tenths we should be in the fight,” he added. On the other hand, his teammate Max Verstappen looked the strongest at Speilberg, as he topped both practice sessions.
Meanwhile, Friday has made Mercedes worried about their two-long race campaign in Austria. Two more wins for Red Bull this season can morally end Mercedes’ efforts for the championship.
However, the Dutch race driver believes hadn’t Lewis Hamilton’s time not been deleted during the practice session, he would have definitely topped, so one shall never doubt the Brackley-based team.
