“Of course, not without reason that one driver drives a Williams and the other driver a Red Bull”– Max Verstappen goes brutally harsh on Nicholas Latifi
“Of course, not without reason that one driver drives a Williams and the other driver a Red Bull”–Max Verstappen on Nicholas Latifi.
Max Verstappen has lashed out on Nicholas Latifi, as the latter forced him to back down from his flying lap in the second sector on Friday. The Dutch driver felt that he was badly held up by the Williams’ car.
So, it infuriated Verstappen and went to attack the credentials of Latifi, who is in his second season with Williams, and currently has 0 points on the table this year.
“Sometimes I really don’t know what’s going on in other people’s heads,” a frustrated Verstappen told Ziggo Sport after the session. Of course, the engineer has to pay attention but it is, of course, not without reason that one driver drives a Williams and the other driver a Red Bull.”
Verstappen has been furious at the cars allegedly blocking his flying laps, even on Saturday, during the FP3, he whined about Lewis Hamilton getting in his way.

Never been friendly with Nicholas Latifi
This is not the first time when the two have been harsh to each other. Last year, during the Spanish GP, Latifi complained about Verstappen apparently blocking him on a flying lap run, while the Dutch driver was slow on the road.
Latifi also remarked that Verstappen always complains about others blocking him all the time (we got two complaints by Verstappen this weekend already), but he does that himself.
“He is constantly complaining that people are blocking him, but he just does that himself”, said the driver of Williams.
